How to protect plants from frost
Stella Fear from Holland Park in London shows you how to
protect larger tropical and tender plants from frost, snow and winter
winds.
You will need
- Horticultural fleece or hessian
- String
- Scissors
Step 1: Tie up loose branches
Branches and leaves should be tied together to make it easier
to cover the plant with the fabric. Tie the branches so they are held
vertical with string.
Step 2: Cover
Wrap the plant in fleece or Hessian and tie the fabric to the
plant with string. Remove the string and the fabric after the last
frost in Spring.
